market still shows us what a box office behemoth this movie has been. That honor goes to Tomb Raider, which opened this week. box office and surpassing 2017s Wonder Woman. It’s worth noting that Black Panther is not #1 at the international box office. The freight train of success that is Black Panther continues to barrel on, breaking into the top 20 of the U.S. So this is a seriously rare achievement in the movie business. And before Avatar, the last film with a five-week streak was The Sixth Sense in 1999. It’s now taken the #1 spot at the domestic box office for five weeks in a row, a feat that hasn’t been achieved since James Cameron’s Avatar in 2009. Marvel’s Black Panther has hit yet another box office milestone.
